Gautam Nandi Review: Gautam Nanda is a double action drama that Telugu audiences have been used to since black & white era. Sampath Nandi presents it on rich canvas with glary commercial shades for today’s audience. First half showcases the contrast lifestyles of rich kid vs slum- dog. While one skydives over Dubai palm islands the other is kicked out of bed by dad to fill pots from municipal tanker.

Second half is loaded with heavy sentiment, some evoke emotions. However, repeat of such scenes make the second half dragged.

Lengthy action episodes make it even tiresome. Crisp editing would have made the narration more gripping. Some very well- written dialogues with wisdom and logic raise claps. Predictable climax and duration of the film played spoilsport.

Gopichand did decent job in showcasing contrast between his two roles. Nanda’s role connects and appeals to the masses. Sampath Nandi has to explain the logic how both Gautam & Nanda can have a cut mark on forehead. Whole Dante`S Inferno Cartoon Online. Dolled up Hansika doesn’t look a slum dweller at all. Catherine Tresa oozes extra oomph with her skin show. Vennela Kishore’s comedy doesn’t tickle.

Bithiri Sathi raises few laughs. Nikitin Dheer and Mukesh Rishi are routine villains.

Chandra Mohan and Sita as poor parents squeeze sentiment. Thaman supplements the film with his background score and couple of massy songs. Cinematography is impressive. Art department needs special mention for their effort in portraying mansion lifestyle to ‘Basthi’ level. Over all, Gautam Nanda is regular commercial pot- boiler with quality production values. Pros: Decent first half.

Gopichand performance. Witty dialogues. Rich production values. Cons: Dragged second half. Predictable climax.

Bottom- line: Gautam Nanda, half rich- half poor.
